Al Dhafra head coach Patrice Carteron is targeting a positive result against United as the two teams prepare to meet in Matchweek 6 of the 2026-27 ADNOC Pro League on Friday, October 16.

The match will take place at Hamdan Bin Zayed Stadium at 17:05, with both sides looking to secure valuable points.

Carteron said Al Dhafra are determined to bounce back from their recent defeats against Sharjah and Al Wahda.

"We are looking for a positive result against United after our last two defeats against Sharjah and Al Wahda," the French coach said.

Carteron expressed satisfaction with his players' efforts in training, praising their commitment and determination to improve.

He said the squad are working hard and expressed confidence that the team will continue to develop and make progress step by step.

The Al Dhafra coach also praised United and the work being done at the club, describing their head coach Andrea Pirlo as an excellent manager.

He believes United have the potential to develop into one of the league's leading clubs in the future if they maintain their current progress.

Carteron also called on Al Dhafra fans to attend the match and get behind their team, stressing that their encouragement can give the players extra energy and motivation.

Meanwhile, United head coach Andrea Pirlo said his team have prepared well for the encounter, particularly with several injured players returning to the squad.
