Bani Yas returned to winning ways, as they scored a goal in each half to beat Ajman 2-0 at home in matchweek 18 of the Arabian Gulf League on Friday.
Bani Yas entered the match in a more aggressive manner compared to Ajman and looked more dangerous in front of the goal. The efforts of the home side paid off as Ahmed Abunamous netted a header to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute.
Afterward, Ajman put in some effort to score the equalizer, but they were denied by Bani Yas' strong defensive performance.
Ajman then suffered a blow in the 83rd minute when Mohamed Ismail was sent off for a rough challenge. Joao Pedro scored from the spot in the fourth minute of injury time to seal a 2-0 win.
