Bani Yas settled a six-goal thriller after sealing a 4-2 win over Al Dhafra in matchweek 21 of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.
Ten minutes before the break, Al Dhafra went ahead with an own goal from Hasan Al Muharrami, who inadvertently turned Georgi Milanov's cross into his net.
The visitors turned the game on its head in just seven minutes as Hasan Al Muharrami hit the equalizer two minutes after the hour-mark with a first-time volley into the back of the net.
O. Nguette put Bani Yas ahead in the 64th minute when he pounced on a mistake from Al Dhafra's goalkeeper to drill the ball into the back of the net.
Four minutes later, Fawaz Awana cemented his side's lead and made it 3-1 when he met N. Giménez's cross with a powerful header into the back of the net.
Suhail Al Noobi added the fourth goal of the night in the 69th minute when he poked the rebound into the net after Ahmed Shehda Abunamous's effort was saved by goalkeeper Fahad Mohamed Aldhanhani.
Substitute Ali Eid Ghumail reduced the margin in the stoppage time of the second half when he was teed up inside the box, before hammering a strike into the top corner of the net.
The victory means that Bani Yas sit 9th with 22 points, while Al Dhafra are 14th with 8 points.
