A goal in the stoppage time by Anatole Bertrand helped Al Bataeh snatch a 2-1 dramatic win over Dibba Al-Hisn at Saqr Bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium on Friday.
The result means that Al Bataeh sit 8th with four points, while Dibba Al-Hisn are 12th with zero points.
It took nineteen minutes for Al Bataeh to find the breakthrough after Anatole Bertrand picked up the ball and cut inside the box, before converting a low cross to the unmarked Mohammad Juma Eid, who found it easy to bury the ball into the back of the net.
The parity was restored for Dibba Al-Hisn in the 26th minute when Haithem Jouini poked in the rebound.
Mohamed Rashid Alhammadi nearly put Al Bataeh ahead, but his powerful header smashed the post.
Dibba Al Hisn started the second half as the pressing team and they should have taken the lead in the 51st minute when Haithem Jouini's shot from outside the box was parried out by goalkeeper Darwish Mohammad.
Al Bataeh responded quickly to Dibba's pressure in the 65th minute as Alvaro De Oliveira fired a powerful header, but Suhail Abdulla Ibrahim clawed away at full stretch.
Suhail was the hero again as he prevented Al Bataeh from taking the lead after parrying out De Oliveira's effort.
The visitors' pressure paid off when Anatole Bertrand controlled the ball on his chest before arrowing a sumptuous effort into the bottom
corner of the net to seal the victory in the dying moments.
