Suhail Ahmed Alnoobi hit a brace to help Bani Yas pull off a 5-0 win over Al Dhafra in matchweek eight of the ADNOC Pro League on Sunday.
Al Zaabi's mistake gifted the hosts an early lead after just 22 seconds, with Gastón Suarez pouncing on Al Zaabi's misplaced pass and orchestrating a fine one-two with Rafael Elias Bataglia before the Atgerntiain slotted his deflected shot into the top corner of the net.
Eleven minutes before the two clubs headed to the dressing rooms for the break, Nicolas Gimenez cemented Bani Yas' lead when he unleashed a superb free-kick that curled around the Al Dhafra wall as it flashed into the top corner past Abdulla Sultan Alnasri.
Suhail Ahmed Alnoobi put Bani Yas 3-0 ahead when he was put through on goal as he cut inside the penalty area and beat the goalkeeper to tap the ball into the empty net in the 75th minute.
Seven minutes later, Alnoobi grabbed his brace and added the fourth goal for the hosts when Opa Nguette was teed up inside the penalty area and sent a low cross into the six-yard box, where Alnoobi found it easy to pass the ball into the back of the net.
The fifth goal was quick to follow when Ahmed Shehda Abunamous skipped past three defenders and drove a low shot between the goalkeeper's legs and into the net in the 85th minute.
The victory means that Bani Yas sit 9th with 11 points, while Al Dhafra are 13th with 4 points.
