Sharjah qualified to the AFC Champions League round of 16 after defeating Iraq’s Air Force Club 3-2 at Sharjah Stadium on Matchday 5 of Group B on Monday.
Jefferson Collazos opened the scoring for the Iraqi side on the 15-minute mark, before Sharjah leveled the scoreline 10 minutes later through Khalid Bawazir. Salem Saleh put Sharjah 2-1 up in the 35th minute.
Collazos made it 2-2 seven minutes after the restart and Saleh regained Sharjah's lead eight minutes later.
Sharjah top the group with 11 points, four clear of Iranian side Tractor FC, whom they will face in the final group game on Thursday.
