Khorfakkan came from a 0-1 down to steal a 2-1 win over Hatta in matchweek one of the ADNOC Pro League at Saqr Bin Mohammad al Qassimi Stadium on Saturday.
It was a moderate first half as both clubs were keen on scoring goals and entering the dressing room in a good form, but it ended in a 1-1 draw.
Ten minutes was enough for Hatta to find the breakthrough and go ahead when Moustafa Zeidan's first-time volley from a tight angle hit the back of the net.
Khorfakkan refused to give up as they kept their pressure to hit the equalizer, and they got what they wanted when Aniss Karimi inadvertently turned Antonio Junior's cross into his own net.
A minute before the hour-mark, Tiago De Leonco completed the comeback for the hosts and made it 2-1 from the spot as he stroked the ball into the back of the net past the outstretched hands of goalkeeper Salam Khairi.
