The late kick-off for the ADNOC’s Pro League game-week 4 under the motto: ‘UAE Projects of the 50’ on Thursday; was Al Nasr Vs Khorfakkan at the Al Maktoum Stadium, Dubai. These two teams are coming into this game with mediocre forms and a desperate need for a win.
As early as the 7th minute against the run of play Al Nasr went 1-0 up with a wonderful header from the Brazilian Glauber Lima. It came about from a cross whipped-in from the right wing by Diaa Saba that created the opener for Al Nasr.
In the 70th minute Hadid rifles a 25-yard shot on goal, but Al Tamimi pulls off a fine save to deny Khorfakkan an equalizer.
Al Nasr were relieved as Diaa Saba scores a superb left footed strike into the top corner of Khorfakkan’s net in the 74th minute.
Nine minutes later, a delightful counterattack from Al Nasr put the game to bed when Diaa Saba got his 2nd goal of the night seizing a wonderful pass from Omar Juma who set up both Saba goals.
Al Nasr move to 5th in the league table with 7 points while Khorfakkan remain in 11th place on 2 points.
