Shabab Al Ahli scored two goals in each half to maintain their 100% perfect start to their ADNOC Pro League campaign and defeated Al Orooba 4-1 at Dibba Stadium in matchweek 4 of the ADNOC Pro League on Friday.
The win made the Dubai-based side second with 12 points, while Al Orooba remained bottom with zero points.
The first half saw Shabab Al Ahli focus heavily on offense, while Al Orooba parked their bus in defense, attempting to prevent the Dubai-based side from taking the lead.
The visitors finally opened the compact defense by scoring two goals in four minutes. Guilherme Da Silva gave the advantage for Shabab Al Ahli nine minutes before the break, and Yuri Cesar doubled the lead in the 40th minute.
Guilherme Da Silva fired a spectacular long-range strike past the outstretched hands of Al Orooba's goalkeeper in the 36th minute. Four minutes later, Cartabia latched onto a long through ball from Luka Milivojevic to cut inside and pass the ball across the floor to Yuri Cesar, who clipped it with a lovely first-time shot.
Al Orooba's resistance crumbled in the second half with Shabab Al Ahli adding two second-half goals in nine minutes. Three minutes before the hour mark, Breno Cascardo Lemos towered above Al Orooba's defense to plant Cartabia's cross from a corner. Cartabia turned from a provider to a scorer in the 65th minute, when Azmoum missed from the spot and Cartabia poked in the rebound.
The hosts pulled one back in the 74th minute when Hamid Yahya found Appolinaire Kack in front of goal for a stunning back-heeled finish.
