Adel Taarabt's first-half goal was the difference for Al Nasr in a 1-0 home win over Sharjah at Al Maktoum Stadium in the final matchweek of the ADNOC Pro League on Thursday.
Al Nasr found the breakthrough and opened the scoring two minutes before the two clubs headed to the dressing rooms for the break, when Adel Taarabt capitalized on a mistake by Sharjah's defender who failed to properly clear the ball, allowing the Moroccan forward to curl the ball into the back of the net from a tight angle.
It has been a cagey second half with few chances as the two clubs failed to pose a real threat to the goalkeepers.
The win means that Al Nasr jump to the ninth spot with 27 points, while Sharjah remain seventh with 43 points.
