Ajman head coach Goran Tufegdžić and Sharjah manager José Morais have stressed the importance of maintaining focus ahead of their Matchweek 6 encounter in the 2026-27 ADNOC Pro League on Sunday, October 18.
The two sides will meet at Rashid Bin Saeed Stadium at 19:45, with Ajman looking to continue their positive form and Sharjah aiming to secure three points away from home.
Tufegdzic expressed satisfaction with his team's preparations and said confidence is growing within the squad following their recent performances.
"We are working to prepare the team in the best possible way for the match against Sharjah. The atmosphere is very positive, particularly as we have not lost any of our last four matches," the Ajman coach said.
Tufegdzic also recognised the quality of Sharjah's squad but expressed confidence in his players' ability to compete.
"We will face a strong team with several talented players, and we must respect Sharjah. However, I believe in our team's ability to achieve a positive result," he added.
"It will be a difficult match, but if we play with the same spirit and intensity we have shown in recent games, I believe we can secure a positive result."
Meanwhile, Sharjah head coach José Morais warned that facing an in-form Ajman side away from home would require discipline and concentration throughout the match.
"We have had a good amount of time to prepare for this game, and we know we are facing strong opponents, especially as the match will be played at their stadium," Morais said.
"Ajman are enjoying a good run of form, so we must remain fully focused from the first minute until the last to secure victory and collect all three points."
Morais also congratulated Ajman on their recent performances, including their latest result in the Gulf Club Champions League.
"I would like to congratulate Ajman on their good run and their latest result in the Gulf Club Champions League. I expect a strong match and a real challenge for us as well," he said.
