Rashid bin Humaid Crowns Al Jazira with UAE Super Cup Trophy

Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association, crowned Al Jazira with the UAE Super Cup title after they defeated Shabab Al Ahli 5-3 on penalties after the 120 minutes ended in a 1-1 draw, in the match that was held on Friday at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium under the slogan ‘UAE, Where the World Meets.’

 

The trophy ceremony was attended by UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Jazira Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, UAE Pro League Chairman Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, and Vice President of Shabab Al Ahli Football Company Ibrahim Abdulmalik.

 

 

During the ceremony, the two winners of the grand prize received AED 100,000 (AED 50,000 each), which was allocated by the UAE Pro League to the fans present in the match.

 

 

The honouring ceremony was attended by Mohammed Al Dhaheri, representative of the President's Initiatives, and Ali Ozbay, representative of the Rixos Hotel.

 

 

Among the UAE Pro League sponsors and success partners, Sultan Al Dhaheri, Representative of Etisalat handed the man of the match award to Ali Khaseif, Al Jazira captain.

 

 

Mohamed Kabel, representative of Nike, also handed over commemorative medals to match officials while Mohamed Al Baloushi, representative of the Emirates Palace hotel, handed the medals to the video assistant referee (VAR) team, the match observer and the referees assessor.

 

 

Adel Al Ghaith, representative of Emirates Airline and Mohammed Al Junaibi from Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank presented the Super Cup trophy to the sponsor of the ceremony, who handed it, accompanied by UAE Pro League Chairman Abdulla Naser Al Jneibi, to Al Jazira captain.
