Kalba set foot in Pro League cup quarter final with a 4-0 victory

Ittihad Kalba rode on their superior experience and a brace from substitute Ousmane Camara to saunter away to an emphatic 4-0 win over Al Orooba in their first-round match of the UAE Pro League Cup, on Friday.

After dominating much of the first half, the home side had to wait patiently to breach the Al Orooba defence and finally forge ahead in the second minute of first half injury period when Mohaned Salem Al Enazi found the target.

With the game opening up, Ittihad Kalba didn’t take long to double their advantage as Ahmed Al Naqbi headed in a cross from the left flank in the 49th minute.

It was then up to substitute Ousmane Camara, who replaced Fahad Sabeel just before half-time, to get his name on the score sheet on two successive occasions.

First, the 22-year-old striker from Guinea easily found a hole in the Al Orooba defence line when he stumped in a goal from close range in the 54th minute.

Camara scored his second of the night in the 75th minute when he broke free of his marker and sent in a powerful gliding header from a Roland Varga corner kick.

The two teams will play their return leg match of the first round on October 25.
As per the new regulations, the six winning teams will advance to the quarter-finals while joining league champions Al Jazira and Cup winners Shabab Al Ahli.
