Al Wahda striker Omar Khribin is just one goal away from reaching a major milestone in the ADNOC Pro League, as he prepares to face Khorfakkan in Matchweek 6 on Sunday, October 18.
The Syrian forward has scored 99 goals in the competition and could become only the eighth player in Pro League history to reach the 100-goal mark.
Khribin began his UAE league career in the 2015-16 season with Al Dhafra before going on to represent Shabab Al Ahli and Al Wahda.
Over the years, he has established himself as a consistent goalscorer, playing an important role in his teams' attacking performances.
The 32-year-old has made 160 Pro League appearances, scoring 99 goals, and now has an opportunity to join an exclusive group of players who have reached a century in the competition.
Khribin also has a strong scoring record against Khorfakkan, having found the net five times in nine previous league meetings. Four of those goals came for Al Wahda, while the other was scored during his time with Shabab Al Ahli.
His next opportunity to reach the milestone comes when Al Wahda visit Khorfakkan at Saqr Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Stadium on Sunday, with kick-off scheduled for 17:05.
Al Wahda head into the fixture looking to extend their winning run after recording three consecutive league victories.
The match offers Khribin the chance to reach a personal landmark while helping his side continue their push up the ADNOC Pro League standings.
