Al Wahda Cruise to Comfortable 4-2 Home Victory against Al Dhafra

Al Wahda cruised to a comfortable 4-2 home victory against Al Dhafra at Al Nahyan Stadium in matchweek 7 of the ADNOC Pro League on Tuesday.

It was Sebastian Tagliabue who was the architect of the opening goal of the game in the 6th minute, feeding a brilliant pass through to new arrival Ahmed Refaat, who met it with a first-time right-footed effort into the right bottom corner of the net, to make it 1-0.

In the 19th minute, Al Wahda doubled their lead when Tagliabue teed up Abdulla Hamad inside the box, as the latter drilled the ball into the back of the net with a smart finish.

The hosts added the third goal of the night when Adrien Da Silva met a superb cross inside the penalty area from Ahmed Refaat with a sublime strike into the corner of the net.

Al Wahda's defender Ala Zhir's own goal narrowed the gap for the visitors when he converted a cross into his own net in the 71st minute.

Ten minutes before the final whistle, Mohamed Aljneibi reduced the deficit again for Al Dhafra with a powerful header that nestled into the bottom corner of the net, to make it 2-3.

Mohamed Ali added the fourth goal and sealed the victory for his side when he fired a long-range strike that nestled into the top corner of the net.

The victory means Al Wahda sit fourth in the league standings with 13 points, while Al Dhafra remain in 13th place with just 4 points.
