4 teams complete over 1000 passes in ADNOC Pro League's first two rounds

Several teams resort to maintaining the ball possession as part of their strategy to dominate the game as they deprive the opponent of the ball for as long as possible until a scoring chance appears on the horizon and that's when they can hurt their rival.

In ADNOC Pro League's first two matchweeks saw more than one team adopt such a strategy since statistics prove that 4 teams have already exceeded the 1000 passes mark only in their first two fixtures of the new campaign, while all 14 teams of the competition have completed a tally of 11309 passes so far.

Reigning champions Al Jazira top the list as they managed to accomplish a total of 1272 passes in their two encounters against Al Dhafra and Ittihad Kalba to maintain last season's superiority where they also finished the campaign as the side with the most passes completed.

Al Nasr came second having completed 1094 passes despite their first round's loss to Ajman that fueled them up to claim a landslide victory in the second round over Al Orooba.

Shabab Al Ahli who earned the full mark out of the first two fixtures, sit in the third place having racked up 1080 complete passes, trailed by Al Wahda who have completed 1017 passes in their games against Al Orooba and Baniyas.

Both Sharjah and Al Wasl who went two matchweeks unbeaten managed to accomplish 900 passes, while Al Ain, who are currently leading the standings on goal difference, piled up a total of 890 passes.
