UAE Pro League approves new match dates in compliance with the new work system

UAE Pro League's technical committee has approved of new dates for matchdays of its competitions in accordance with the newly-adopted work system by the government, as Saturday and Sunday will officially become weekend in UAE instead of Friday and Saturday as of January 1st,2022.

 


The decision has been made in a video-conference meeting the committee held on Wednesday, that was headed by Hassan Taleb Al Marri and attended by vice head Tariq Al Shabibi and committee members Ismail Rashid, Nasser Abdullah and Taha Ezzat as well as the committee's advisor Abdulhamid Al Mustaki and committee's reporter Mabkhout Al Hajeri.

 


The PL technical committee has decided to change the Super Cup game date to January 7th,2021, wherein League champions Al Jazira will take on President’s Cup winners Shabab Al Ahli.

 


As for ADNOC Pro League, the committee also amended the dates of the 13th round of the ADNOC Pro League that will now be held on January 8, 9 and 11, 2022.

 


Meanwhile, first leg games of Pro League cup quarter finals are set to take place on December 16th where Ittihad Kalba take on Al Jazira at 6:00 pm and Al Nasr host Al Wahda at 8:15pm, and December 17th as Shabab Al Ahly will play Ajman at 6:00 pm whereas Al Ain will clash with Al Wasl at 8:15 pm.

 


Quarter finals return games are scheduled to be held on January 3rdand 4th. Al Jazira will take on Ittihad Kalba at 5:00 pm while Ajman face Shabab Al Ahly at 7:30 pm on the 3rd.


 

On the next day, Al Wahda will host Al Nasr at 5:00 pm and Al Wasl will face Al Ain at 7:30pm.
