The UAE Pro League announced in coordination with the UAE Football Association, and after a thorough technical and legal study, that resident players and UAE-born players above the age of 16 will be eligible to play in Pro League competitions starting with the second half of the ADNOC Pro League.
The decision is part of the Pro League's efforts to increase the pool of players participating in its competitions in line with the technical aspects of football development as per global best practices in this field with a view of achieving long term benefits.
