2022-23 ADNOC Pro League Set to Return to Action on September 2

The ADNOC Pro League is scheduled to return to action soon where thrill and enthusiasm will be present at their peak with anticipation growing among UAE football fans looking forward to seeing a brilliant season from all clubs.

 

 

 

A total of 14 professional clubs in the ADNOC Pro League have perfectly prepared for the league kickoff, by holding intensive training camps for pre-season friendlies in order to live the competitive atmosphere of the league matches.

 

 

 

The new season is scheduled to start with matchweek 1 of the ADNOC Pro League on September 2nd and 3rd, 2022.

 

 

 


The ADNOC Pro League will get underway on Friday, September 2nd, with four encounters, the first of which will see Ittihad Kalba host newcomer Al Bataeh at 17:45pm at the former's Stadium.

 

 

 

Ittihad Kalba secured only one victory in their seven opening matches in the ADNOC Pro League, while Al Bataeh seek to continue their winning streak achieved in the First Division League, as they won in the last 17 matches 15 wins and 2 draws.

 

 

 

During MD1 the League title holders, Al Ain will play against Ajman, at the venue of Rashid bin Saeed Stadium at 17:45pm. Al Ain are favorites to win over Ajman, as the two teams clashed 20 times, with 17 victories for Al Ain, compared to only one win for Ajman, while draws decided the other two matches.

 

 

 

Ajman achieved two victories in their opening matches in the ADNOC Pro League, while Al Ain didn’t lose in their last 7 opening matches of the competition (6 wins and one draw).

 

 

 

The games continue on Friday with Bani Yas hosting Khorfakkan, at the former's stadium, and Al Wasl welcoming Al Wahda at Zabeel Stadium. The two matches will take place at 8:30 pm.

 

 

 

Bani Yas and Khorfakkan have previously met 4 times in the League, with 2 wins for Bani Yas and one for Khorfakkan, while a draw decided the remaining match.

 

 

 


Meanwhile, Al Wasl and Al Wahda clashed 26 times before, with 11 victories for Al Wahda, compared to 10 for Al Wasl, while draws decided the other 5 encounters.

 

 

 

The fixtures of the opening matchweek will resume on Saturday, with three encounters, the first of which will see Al Dhafra welcoming Al Nasr at the venue of Hamdan bin Zayed Stadium at 17:45pm.

 

 

 

This will be the second encounter that brings both teams together in the opening matches, as the two teams clashed in the opening match of the 2016-2017 season.

 

 

 

The two teams have previously clashed 24 times before, with 12 victories for Al Nasr, compared to only 3 for Al Dhafra, while the draws decided the other 9 matches.

 

 

 

At the same time, Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium is scheduled to host the Al Jazira vs Dibba clash.

 

 

The two teams clashed in 10 league matches before, with 4 victories for Al Jazira, compared to 2 victories for Dibba, in addition to 4 draws.

 

 

 

Al Jazira have a great advantage in the opening matchweeks, as they have not lost in the last 5 opening matches. They have also found the back of the net in their all opening rounds of the competition.

 

 

 

The third and last match of the day sees a tough encounter between Shabab Al Ahli and Sharjah at Rashid Stadium at 8:30 pm.

 

 

 

The two teams have previously met in 24 encounters, with 13 victories for Shabab Al Ahli, compared to 5 victories for Sharjah, while the draws decided the other 6 matches.
