UAE Pro League announces November awards nominees

The UAE Pro League has announced the nominees for the Arabian Gulf League monthly awards, powered by Etisalat, the official sponsor of the Arabian Gulf League, in the Best Player, Best Goalkeeper and Best Coach categories for the month of November, which aligns with the UAEPL’s strategy of motivating outstanding players and improving fan interaction to further improve the competition.

The shortlist for November’s Best Player Award includes Al Jazira duo Abdullah Ramadan and Thulani Serero, Shabab Al Ahli’s Igor Jesus, Al Nasr’s Diaa Saba and Ali Saleh of Al Wasl.

The Al Jazira duo helped their side earn four wins out of five matches in November, with Ramadan netting two goals, while Serero putting in impressive effort and performances and limiting the opponents’ threat.

Meanwhile, Shabab Al Ahli’s Igor Jesus had eight goals to his name during November, including a hat-trick, which put him at the top of the goalscoring charts. On the other hand, Diaa Saba scored twice for Al Nasr in November, while Ali Saleh had three goals to his name after netting in three different games with Al Wasl.

In the Best Goalkeeper category, Al Jazira’s Ali Khasif is joined by Adel Al Hosani from Sharjah and Jamal Abdulla from Ittihad Kalba. Khasif put in a strong performance in November and helped his side keep a clean sheet twice against Hatta and Fujairah. Al Hosani also kept clean sheets against Al Dhafra and Al Jazira, while Abdulla had clean sheets against Fujairah and Bani Yas in November.

Meanwhile, Al Jazira manager Marcel Keizer is nominated for the Best Coach category alongside Abdulaziz Al Anberi of Sharjah and Jorge da Silva of Kalba. The Pride of Abu Dhabi earned four wins out of their five games in November, Sharjah remained on top of the standings and maintained their undefeated record, while Kalba collected 10 points in November after winning three games, drawing one and losing another.

Voting for the three categories will open at 01:00pm on Monday, December 7th, on the Arabian Gulf League website and continues for 48 hours. After which, winners will be announced through the official UAE PL social media channels and will receive their awards ahead of their respective sides’ matches in the next matchweek of the Arabian Gulf League.
